Blog #1: Environmental Exposures in Different Settings
Considering home, work, school, and the community, I was able to create lists of at least 10 exposures in each area with a lot of overlap in the different categories. Some of the wide-ranging exposures found in multiple settings included dust, mold, radon, air pollution/car exhaust, and wildfire smoke. This activity was actually easier than I expected after considering the different types of exposure and wide range of sources. Most of the exposures on my lists were more broad, like household and industrial cleaners and insecticides. Some were more specific, such as radon and uranium in drinking water.
thank you for the information, this are very common things we are expose in a daily life and we never think of them, we should be more aware!!!
ReplyDeleteHello! I agree that we have overused so many chemicals today that combined in small amounts over the long-term cause adverse health issues such as birth defects and cancer. One major concern is the quality of our drinking water in communities that contain hazardous waste run-off from improper waste disposal. Cities try their best to reduce the amount of HD residues but they are still present (trace amounts).
ReplyDeleteGreat job and beautiful blog!
